Juicing is a great way to get a variety of fruits and vegetables in your meal in a single serving. One doesn’t have to overload your plate with loads of large sized spinach leaves or celery sticks because in a juice form it’s much easier to consume, with all the benefits. The beauty of juicing is that you’re taking in veggies in their raw form and there is no nutrient loss compared to cooking them.
Some people may think of juicing as taking in a large amount of carrots because they’re good for eyesight or lots of oranges for the vitamin C but one can use juicing for a purpose. Change of seasons creates a number of challenges and as we’re approaching mid-winter in the Southern Hemisphere one has to fend off colds and flu. I know that

whenever I my immune system takes a dip I bring out the big guns of juices and they work like a charm every time. One of my favorite juices contains these ingredients:
- Yellow Pepper
- Ginger
- Lemon
- Pineapple
- Turmeric
I’m a big believer of the under rated and less spoken vegetables and fruits like kale and grapefruit, which are loaded with all the good stuff. Another favorite juice of mine to boost my system has the following ingredients:
- Grapefruit
- Pears
- Ginger
- Pineapple
- Basil
- Lime
Without juicing how else would you you consume all these powerful ingredients in one serving? Of course, juices can tackle a variety of ailments from heart disease, high cholesterol, allergies, arthritis and so on. I lift weights at the gym and often struggle with inflammation build up. There are loads of juices that can are anti-inflammatory and loaded with antioxidants.
Try out this mouth watering juice:
- Pineapple
- Ginger
- Orange
- Carrots
It irks me to see people going to the pharmacy to buy a bottle of pills that promise to tackle some or other ailment. We have all the good micro-nutrients growing out of the earth that mankind has survived on for hundreds of years so next time you need to tackle that ailment why not take some fruits and veggies for a spin instead?
